Are you looking for an online knowledge competition?

Owlypia Online is an online knowledge competition in the form of a multiple-choice exam. Young individuals aged 9-18 compete with peers internationally, showing their knowledge and skills in their favourite subject areas. Owlypia Online is the first step of an exciting journey aiming to inspire intellectual curiosity in young minds around the world. By studying the resources for each subject carefully, students prepare themselves for the competition. They can qualify for Globals in Cambridge and Boston.

How Owlypia Online Works

General Guidelines

  • Any student aged 9-11 (Owlins), 12-14 (Owlets) or 15-18 (Owlys) can enroll to take part in this online competition.
  • Participants must choose their favourite subjects and prepare themselves for the competition.
  • Students need to use the recommended resources indicated under the subjects.
  • Students will answer questions related to their chosen subject.
  • In total there will be: 90 questions (Owlys and Owlets) and 60 questions (Owlins).
  • The online test will be available to the students with a unique code/link, which will be sent to them by email in advance.
  • Participants should follow the instructions on their screen on the day of the examination.
  • All Owlypia Online Competitions focus on the theme of the year.
  • Each Owlypia Online Competition consists of different questions.
  • As Owlypia Online is completely online, the only requirements are having an internet connection -wired or wireless-, and adequate space for the participating Owlypians. It’s much easier with a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) approach: all you need is to bring your own laptop, tablet or smartphone.
  • During the competition, participants cannot change answers once they’ve chosen an option and clicked on “next”. In case of a tie, the faster Owlypian wins.
